Presenting Demo.

Yes I believe that my game is ready to be presented to the Globaloria examiners, but it is still a long way from finished. It might be 2/5 finished.

Filming the demo.

I am not worried about the delay in the videos being converted. However, I am upset at the unreliability of SHHS's network. It works about 50/50 of the time. It is a real pain when you can't use it and need to. I think all these filters are pointless, now kids can't even enjoy their free days.

Our group feels that we are prepared to video tape our demo. I am not afraid to talk to people or say stupid things, so I believe that that helps me with my script.

This is the demo for Revolutionary Defense by team FlashIluminati. It looks like a fun game, because everyone likes a tower defense game and it teaches about the revolutionary war.

Mouse and keyboard input.

Learning to add mouse and keyboard was very helpful, our game will benefit a lot from it. I haven't experienced any problems with it yet.

Sounds.

Yes, I was able to get the sound in with no problems.
After I figured out how to download the file, I had no problems with the sound.
We will add sound to the buttons, and put sound in our main gameplay screen.
By adding the sound then players will have something to listen to, which would help keep their interest, and in tern, they may learn more, just because they are playing more.

Mrs. Chenoweth was the one to show us the process of signing up for the contest. I didn't experience any problems besidse trying to find the password. When I found out it was emailed to me, it was easy to sign up.

Primary Game Scene.

This week we worked on our primary game scene. The only problem I encountered was adding the drag and drop code to my game. I got the syringe to move with my arrow keys, however it will be a drag and drop in my final game. I will be using this scene in the game, it will be one of the main scenes. Now I need to go and figure out how to get the drag and drop to work.

Tutorials.

     We used many different tools while working with the tutorials. The star tool starts at a specific point, and makes a star shape from it, where ever you drag your mouse. The drawing tools each let us draw, different shapes in different ways. Using blank keyframes is probably the best thing we learned to do. We will need to used these in our game to make the diseases move towards our player.

Drawing tools.

I'm sure I will be using the fill tool in my game. I will have to fill the syringes with different colored liquids. The fill tool would be the easiest way to do that. I am commenting on Gaige's blog.
